Renovation & Addition

Hershey Public Schools underwent a transformation that blends modern design, functionality, and community-focused spaces. The project included a 57,100-square-foot renovation of the existing building and a 33,000-square-foot addition that introduces new opportunities for learning, athletics, performing arts and gatherings.

The new addition features a multipurpose space with a stage, a weight room, a health science classroom, locker rooms, a kitchen, concessions, and a Commons area. Large windows and carefully placed openings bring natural light deep into the interior, creating an open, inviting atmosphere. Circulation is intuitive, connecting the addition seamlessly to the existing building while reinforcing a cohesive architectural identity.

Renovated areas, including classrooms, collaboration zones, administrative offices, the media center, staff work areas, and restrooms, were redesigned for efficiency, accessibility, and flexibility. Material upgrades and improved spatial layouts enhance comfort and usability throughout the school. The result is a vibrant, functional environment where students can learn, staff can collaborate, and the community can gather, demonstrating how thoughtful architecture can elevate everyday experiences and support the future of education.
