Wilkins helped Elwood Public Schools embark on an important initiative to address pressing facility needs, with a primary focus on security, student and staff safety, and improving the overall visitor experience. The core element of the plan involved the removal of a portion of the existing roof, facilitating the creation of a brand-new, taller, and more prominent lobby. This innovative addition not only serves as a well-defined main entrance, but it also addresses various other facility issues prevalent in this part of the building. It houses secure administrative offices, modern restrooms, a fully equipped concession stand and new support facilities for the main food service kitchen. One of the most exciting features of the new addition is its large windows, which offer a captivating view directly into the gym from the main entrance. This strategic design allows patrons and guests to immediately immerse themselves in the game day experience upon arrival. Not only has this transformation significantly enhanced their game day experience, but it has also made substantial improvements to the day-to-day operations of the school.
