Sunrise Middle School

Renovation & Addition

Student and staff safety and security along with enrollment growth were the driving forces behind Kearney Public Schools’ expansion of Sunrise Middle School. A 6,000 square foot addition to the building enabled the administrative offices to move from the heart of the building out to the west side of the building where a new main entrance was created. The former administration area was then converted into new classrooms and a new SPED area. Along with the addition, the entire building was remodeled with new finishes and nearly all of the original building systems were replaced.
