Blue Hill Early Learning Center

Wilkins ADP provided design services for the renovation of a 5,653-square-foot church facility, repurposing underutilized space into a vibrant new home for the Blue Hill Child Development Center. With no addition to the original structure, the project focused entirely on transforming the interior to meet the needs of early childhood care while preserving the building’s ongoing use by the church.

The renovation included the creation of three new classrooms specifically designed for childcare, as well as the addition of ADA-compliant toilet rooms to serve the entire facility. Fire sprinklers were installed throughout the building to enhance life safety and meet current code requirements. The existing kitchen was also upgraded into a shared-use commercial kitchen, suitable for both the church and the CDC’s needs.

This project highlights how thoughtful renovation can breathe new life into existing community spaces, supporting local families while maximizing the value of longstanding facilities.
