Renovation

The Ainsworth Child Development Center project brought new life to a pair of downtown buildings by transforming them into a single early childhood education facility. This required creative solutions to address varying rooflines and facade design, resulting in a polished, cohesive exterior that complements the surrounding area. The renovation focused primarily on the 4,749-square-foot main floor, while the basement received a light cleanup for storage use.

The project involved full interior demolition, including ceilings, interior walls, doors, and outdated mechanical and electrical systems. The newly renovated space now includes three bright and functional classrooms, each with its own private bathroom, as well as a public restroom, a flexible indoor play area for colder months, and a warming kitchen to support meal service. 

Additional features include a welcoming reception area with an adjacent office, a secure entry and drop-off zone with designated car seat storage, and a custom donor wall designed in the shape of sun rays to recognize community supporters. This renovation reflects the Ainsworth community’s commitment to high-quality early childhood development, creating a safe, engaging, and thoughtfully designed environment for children and families alike.
