Northeast Community College
Lifelong Learning Center Remodel
Northeast Community College developed a strategic master plan that identified student support space as an area of need. The Student Center project presented itself as the ideal opportunity to create new, engaging student spaces as well as create adjacencies for spaces like tutoring and the library learning commons. Wilkins ADP was fortunate to do the Program Statement for CCPE and document production. The project is currently under construction with an anticipated completion date of July 2020.
Wilkins ADP initiated the 4C’s - Connectivity (computer student space and personal device connection); Collaboration (informal study areas, group project areas); Creation (of knowledge for analytical or statistical work study spaces); Community (a place for social interaction). These points served as key elements when establishing spaces and how they worked together throughout the building.
Northeast Community College, Wilkins ADP began work on the Ag & Water Center of Excellence, located on east campus property, in spring of 2018. The primary objectives are to develop state of the art farm facilities, classrooms, and laboratories with demonstration and collaborative learning opportunities for students. Complex laboratory planning and equipment workshops have taken place to deliver the highest level of space efficiencies, function and innovation. Our team works hard to illustrate our experiences with the latest technology trends and work through ultimately what will be best for our clients.
