North Platte Electrical Building
Mid-Plains Community College
Mid-Plains Community College’s Electrical Building at the North Platte – North Campus was designed to support the continued growth of the college’s Electrical Technology program while addressing increasing regional workforce demand. The new 13,200 SF facility expands a program that has operated at capacity for years, creating space for additional students and strengthening partnerships with area high schools.
The building is organized around flexible, hands-on lab environments that support both traditional electrical systems and electrical automation. Open lab spaces allow for clear visibility and instruction, while durable materials and adaptable layouts support long-term use as the program evolves. Adjacent classroom and support spaces provide a balance between instruction and application, reinforcing a learn-by-doing approach.
By expanding capacity and aligning the facility with current industry needs, the project positions MPCC to better serve students and regional employers while supporting the continued growth of the program.
