Harmon Park Sonotorium
Renovation
Originally built in the 1930s, the Harmon Park Sonotorium has been a beloved community gathering space for decades. However, time took its toll, with termite damage, structural wear, and even damage from vandalism. Restoring this historic landmark was a labor of love, balancing preservation with much-needed modern upgrades. The renovation included vital structural repairs, electrical and sound system updates, and improved accessibility. A new backstage area was created, featuring a green room, storage, and a restroom—enhancing functionality while maintaining the original character of the Sonotorium. The surrounding picnic areas were also restored, ensuring the space remains a welcoming destination for community events. Now fully revitalized, the Sonotorium is once again ready to host performances and gatherings, preserving its history while serving future generations.
