Renovation & Addition

Windy Hills Elementary underwent a comprehensive renovation and addition to modernize the facility, enhance safety, and improve functionality for students and staff. The project included a 33,326-square-foot renovation and a 3,033-square-foot addition featuring a new secure west entry, reception area, and administrative offices.

Renovated spaces included classrooms, restrooms, the library, corridors, and staff work areas. Classroom layouts were simplified to improve efficiency and functionality, while restrooms were redesigned for better accessibility and a more streamlined layout. The project also included a full roof replacement, installation of a new fire sprinkler system, and updated plumbing throughout. All existing exterior windows and doors were replaced, and security upgrades were incorporated throughout the building, including converting exterior classroom doors to windows for increased safety. Clerestory windows were also replaced to resolve leaks and improve performance.

The result is a refreshed, secure, and efficient learning environment that supports the needs of Windy Hills students, staff, and community for years to come.
