Union 73
Northeast Community College
Northeast Community College developed a strategic master plan that identified student support space as an area of need. The Union 73 project presented itself as the ideal opportunity to create new, engaging student spaces as well as create close adjacencies for spaces like tutoring and the library learning commons.
Wilkins ADP initiated the 4C’s – Connectivity (computer student space and personal device connection); Collaboration (informal study areas, group project areas); Creation (of knowledge for analytical or statistical work study spaces); Community (a place for social interaction) were identified as project goals. These points served as key elements when establishing spaces and how they worked together throughout the building.
