Solution: The design team took certain architectural cues from the bank’s Wilkins-designed headquarters in Geneva, Nebraska, and deployed them in a modern way to a prominent site along Hasting’s main arterial road. This reinforces the bank’s brand while establishing a permanent presence that is unique to the Hastings community. The pronounced use of glass offers a welcoming invitation to the bank’s customers, while traditional masonry elements speak to the safety, security, and permanence of the financial institution.
