Elkhorn Valley Bank & Trust’s 25th Street branch sits on a prominent site on Highway 275 in Norfolk, Nebraska. Located on a site with existing wetlands posed a number of challenges for the project. Site constraints convinced the bank to go vertical in lieu of a single story branch. The four-story building sits on top of concrete piers. Two glass stair towers help define the exterior language while providing signage for the bank. A simple palette of brick, glass and phenolic laminate panels comprise the exterior building envelope. The interior design provides a sleek modern design that bring in elements of the banks branches. Walking into the three-story atrium a large skylight helps bring in natural light to the entire building. A large training room is located on the third floor and is used by the community. On the fourth floor the board room and exterior patio offers beautiful views of Norfolk.
